PUMPOUT
An easy to use marine holding tank pumpout station is located on the High Dock Float and is available 24/7 for any boat. Instructions for its use are located on the unit.
Using a boat sewage pumpout station is a straightforward, sanitary process. Always wear disposable gloves, turn off the pump when moving between steps, and follow these standard steps:
- Prep the Deck: Put on gloves and unscrew the cap from your boat’s deck waste fitting (marked "Waste").
- Turn on the Pump: Locate the pumpout pedestal on the dock and turn the system on (usually a simple switch or push-button).
- Insert the Nozzle: Uncoil the hose and firmly insert the rubber nozzle into your boat's deck waste opening to create a tight vacuum seal.
- Open the Valve: Turn the valve on the hose (or nozzle) to the open position to start suction. You should see waste flowing through the clear sight glass on the nozzle.
- Rinse and Repeat: Once the sight glass runs clear, close the valve, remove the nozzle, and run fresh water through your boat's toilet to flush the holding tank. Pump this out as well to ensure the system is completely clean.
- Clean Up: Before turning off the pump, dip the hose nozzle into a bucket of clean water for 15 seconds to flush residual waste from the line. Turn off the pump, recoil the hose, and replace your deck waste cap.
