Port Commission

About the Port of Bandon

Established in 1913, the Port of Bandon is a special district and municipal corporation that operates independently from the City of Bandon. The Port owns and operates its waterfront facilities and is responsible for maintaining, developing, and enhancing harbor-related infrastructure and services within the Port District.

The Port also serves an important role in maintaining access to the Coquille River and Pacific Ocean.   As the local authority working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Port coordinates efforts related to federal maintenance dredging of the Coquille River Bar and navigation channel, helping support safe and reliable access for commercial, recreational, and public use.
